Finishing 2019 Strong

Someone call 2019 and tell them we need it back!  But really, this year has flown by. So many changes, successes, failures and lessons learned along the way but I wouldn’t trade them for the world.  As we enter the final stretch, goal setting and sticking to the plans are even more important than before.

It is a known fact that retail sales increase during the 4th quarter of the year.  Did someone say Christmas shopping? And if you’re a business owner it’s vital to have your goals set along with a set of action plans in order to maximize shopper’s habits.  Fun fact: eCommerce (online sales) grew 15% in 2018 alone. Wow!


Personally, it is so easy for me to get distracted this time of year with school, family and upcoming holiday activities.  However, I have learned that in order to have continued success, I must follow my plans and stay focused on the goals. This year has taught me a lot about how to do that.  Here are 3 easy tips that regardless of where you are in business, that you can implement right now to finish strong.

  1. Plan it out.  Get a calendar, write it down and mark it off.  You’ve heard it a dozen times, so just do it.

  2. Create an email list.  In a world of online shoppers, not only are you reaching the masses this way, but you’re also automating a system and using your time wisely.

  3. Make customer service a priority.  As much as I am a fan of automation, the personal touch still goes a long way.  


So whatever your business, set out to make these last 90 days the best yet.  Not only are you finishing off 2019 with a bang, but you’re also setting the tone for the future.
