November Business Spotlight : The Atrium Florist & Gifts

It is NOVEMBER, which means I am feeling festive and ready to get to decorating for the holiday season. So it is fitting that this month’s featured business is The Atrium Florist & Gifts of Clinton, NC owned and operated by Michelle Pietrolaj.

Tell us about yourself:

I’m the mother of 3 girls, Gigi of 2 sweet grandaughters and a wife. All in all I’m just busy. LOL

How did The Atrium come to be?

The Atrium became possible for me approximately 15 years ago. A friend asked me to go in business with her and I accepted. After a year, she realized it wasn’t for her so I became the sole owner. I have always enjoyed designing.

What is the most demanding part of your job and the most rewarding?

On an everyday basis my staff and myself deal with death as we provide florals for funerals. This is extremely challenging. I’ve often been told it is my calling to be able to help them in their time of need. I feel God always gives me the right words to help grieving families. Often times my job is 7 days a week, however I enjoy it. I pride myself in quality customer service regardless of the occasion.

What types of services do you offer?

We offer floral designs for funerals, weddings, home decor, other special occasions or everyday floral needs. In store we have a wide variety of pre-made wreaths and arrangements as well as other home decor items. Custom orders are available for all seasons and occasions.

We are open Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm and Saturday 9 am-12 pm. We are located at 121 Fayetteville Street in downtown Clinton.
